Bio

Adler has over two decades of experience in higher education, with the last decade at the community college level. A fourth-generation writer/journalist, his great-great-grandfather, Bill Cuddy, was once the editor of the Oregonian at the turn of the 20th Century; his great-grandmother wrote a novel in the 1920s; and his two grandmothers were published writers.

He started at Evergreen Valley College in January 2024.

Adler cut his teeth for the first half of his career in sports PR, working for nationally recognized programs such as Long Beach State Baseball, Soccer, and Water Polo, Stanford Football (Jim Harbaugh / Andrew Luck era), and Stanford Swimming and Diving.

To this day, his most incredible thrill is to see former athletes professionally succeed at the next level or raise families. The same is true of the stories of students, from shy freshmen to confident graduates today.

He has worked at several major sporting events, including the NCAA Championships, the Australian Open, with USA Baseball in Europe and in Brazil, and at NFL and NHL regular season, and playoff games.

He earned his Bachelor's at the University of San Francisco as a second-generation Don and a Master's at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where he lived in Melbourne for a year and a half.

An avid theatre lover, he once played a sickly child in the Albany High production of Oliver! He, indeed, was sick as a dog, taking the part to heart. His mother also took him to his first play, where he saw Sandy Duncan fly over the stage as Peter Pan.
