I would like to apply to Evergreen Valley College's Associate Degree in Nursing Program. Where do I begin?
We are excited that you are interested in our Associate Degree in Nursing Program! First, you will want to complete your general education requirements and prerequisite courses. You can find more information about these courses by visiting our Requirements to Enter and Complete the Nursing Program page here: http://www.evc.edu/academics/divisions-departments/nursing-allied-health/associate-degree-in-nursing-program/requirements-to-enter-and-complete-the-nursing-program. Upon completing these courses with a GPA of 2.5 or higher you are eligible to apply for our nursing program. Please note that all courses must be completed before you apply to the program. Your transcripts must show completed grades (no grades pending).
When can I apply to the Associate Degree in Nursing Program?
Once you have completed your general education and prerequisites mentioned above, you are eligible to apply for the Associate Degree in Nursing Program. Our application cycle is every year from October 1-October 31. The application is online only. You can access this application by visiting our Nursing Application page here: http://www.evc.edu/academics/divisions-departments/nursing-allied-health/associate-degree-in-nursing-program/nursing-application. If you are admitted to the program, your instruction will begin the following year (ex. If you apply October 2018 and are admitted to the program, you will begin Fall 2019/Spring 2020).
Does the Nursing Program use a lottery system to admit students into the program?
No, beginning 2018 we will be using a multi-criteria system to select our students. Is there a waitlist?
No, we do not place students on a waitlist.
How many years does it take to complete the Associate Degree in Nursing Program?
Completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing Program is four semesters (two years); students must pass each nursing course with a C grade of 75% or higher.
How much does the Associate Degree in Nursing Program cost?
According to the Evergreen Valley College Catalog 2017-2018 approximate costs related to the program are as follows:

Does your college require coursework recency?
No, there is no expiration date on any courses you have previously taken.
Do you have an LVN to RN Bridge Program?
Although we do offer an LVN to RN program, we do not have an LVN program.
I am an internationally trained nurse who received a Course Deficiency Letter from the Board of Registered Nurses. What do I do now?
Evergreen Valley College does allow selected internationally trained students to complete certain areas of education that the Board of Registered Nurses determined were deficient. Students interested in completing these courses in our nursing program will need to complete an application during our application cycle: October 1-October 31.
