Overview
The newly renovated Natural Science Museum, located on the first floor of Sequoia (SQ-131) across the Performing Arts Building, features a collection of over 300 specimens of birds, fish, amphibians and mammals that inhabit the Americas, Eurasia, and Africa. In addition to these specimens, the museum showcases eggs of various sizes, textures and colors—from ostrich to to turtle; nests, including the mud nest of the chimney swift and the cup-shaped nest of the sparrow; bones of snakes, frogs, and sharks; a variety of arthropods; and a collection of rocks and minerals. Also on display at the Natural Science Museum are colorful drawings of museum specimens, created by talented Evergreen Valley College art students.
