ASG Election Packets Now Available

Would you like to run for Student Government for Executive, Senator, or even Student Trustee for your school? We are now holding ASG elections this month and invite all interested students to come apply.

Application deadline is April 25 at 3 p.m. with mandatory orientations for all candidates on April 24.

What are the requirements?

  • Enrolled in 5 units for the next Academic Year
  • Have a 2.0 GPA
  • Have an ASEVC Card
  • Have Completed/are completing 1 semester
  • Not be on Academic Progress or Probation.

ASG candidate Orientation is on April 24 and Packets are due April 28.

  • EVC Student Trustee
  • President
  • Internal Vice President
  • External Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Vice President of Finance
  • Director of Public Relations
  • Director of Activities
  • Historian
  • Representatives at Large (Senators)

Executive Candidate Orientation

  • Thursday, April 24
  • 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • ASG Board Room (Gullo I, 2nd Floor)

Senate & Student Trustee Candidate Orientation

  • Thursday, April 24
  • 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • ASG Board Room (Gullo I, 2nd Floor)

All candidates MUST attend the orientation to run for office. In the event of an academic conflict, a make-up session may be scheduled.

Please email joshua.marquez@evc.edu by Wednesday, April 23 at noon if you need to have a make-up date.

Dates to Remember

  • April 23 at noon - Deadline to ask for a make-up date for orientation
  • April 24 - Mandatory Orientations for Candidates
  • April 25 at 3 p.m. - Deadline to submit election packets
  • April 29 - Campaigns begin
  • May 5 - Candidate Meet-and-Greet, BBQ
  • May 5 at 9 a.m. - Voting begins
  • May 8 at 1 p.m. - Voting ends
  • May 8 at 5 p.m. - Candidates must remove all campaign materials
  • May 9 - Election Annoucement
