Overview
Evergreen Valley College offers several visual arts classes, including 2D Art, Digital Media, Sculpture, Metal Smithing, and Art History. We also offer a studio art degree and a transfer degree.
2D Art
Master the Art of visual storytelling with our 2D art classes. 2D Art is created on a flat service, encompassing drawing, painting and printmaking and focusing on composition, color and texture.
Digital Media
Unleash your digital creativity with our digital media classes which focuses on graphic design, video production, animation, web design and visual marketing using the Adobe Suite, among others.
Sculpture & Metalsmithing
Shape your vision by using your hands and create unique 3D Art. Metalsmithing is the art of creating objects and jewelry through forging, soldering, and casting. Sculpture uses carving and modeling using materials like stone, wood, clay and metal.
Art History
Discover the stories behind the masterpieces with one of our Art History classes. This also can satisfy general education (GE) requirements.
Graphic Design

Working in Industry
Several EVC alums are now working in the fields of graphic design, animation, and industrial design, to name a few. Some alumni are also working at Pixar in the East Bay and Google.
Student Arts Club
The Art & Design Organization (aka the Art Club) is a student club that promotes the visual arts on campus through support of the EVC Art Gallery, and by organizing workshops and events that serve to enrich the community with experiences in making and appreciating the visual arts. Degree
A program map is a suggested semester-by-semester plan to help you complete the courses required for a particular degree or certificate. It is based on the major sheet for the particular degree or certificate you are interested in. It includes courses required for the major, general education and any necessary electives.

Art Gallery
Evergreen Valley College has an art gallery in the Visual Arts Building on campus. We host three or five events each year, culminating with a juried art show for our students. The shows also feature EVC faculty, EVC alumni, and community members.
