Rise above barriers with integrated support!

The Math ( STATISTICS 1000) and English (C1000) RISE courses provide you with student success teams designed to help you thrive in your gateway courses. You’ll gain access to tutoring, academic counseling, and other helpful resources, all while building a strong sense of community and belonging. Students selected for these sections of Math & English must meet certain criteria and willing to commit to the resources and other programming to ensure success.

Enrollment 

Priority Criteria

  • Plan to enroll in 9 or more units for the given semester.
  • A first-generation college student
  • Eligible for a CA College Promise Grant
  • Committed to attending counseling and tutoring resources
  • Apply two weeks prior to the start of the term.
