We are excited that you want to be a student with us!

The Admissions and Records department is where you will begin your educational journey at EVC, and we will guide and support you along the way.

It all starts with 5 easy steps, beginning with “Apply for Admission."

First time at EVC:

If you've never attended EVC or another California community college; or attended a four-year college or university, scroll below the cards and follow the application steps.

Returning to EVC:

If you've attended EVC or another California Community Colelge before and have been away for more than a year, you'll need to reactivate your CCCApply account to register for classes.

You currently live outside of the country or have been in California for less than a year.

Classes that are considered "noncredit" are free classes. Many classes are community-based around digital literacy and ESL.

How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in making connections that count at Evergreen Valley College. Whether you are here in person or online, we are grateful that you have chosen Evergreen Valley College. We are committed to making sure your experience is as impactful as possible.

We have developed this quick step-by-step process to help guide you through the full application process and our team is here to help and support you.

Your first step to attending EVC is to apply to the college and obtain your Student Identification number (SID).

Students can also pick up a paper application at Admissions in the Student Services Complex.

Students should obtain an EVC Student ID number within 24-72 hours. If they have not (and checked your Spam folder), contact Admissions.

EVC has a variety of financial aid options. To see which of the following grants and opportunities you may be eligible for, complete the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

3. Orientation

An Orientation will provide you with general information regarding EVC's services and programs such as transfer and degree requirements, vocational programs, and student services, as well as academic expectations, facilities, and resources available to you. You are required to complete the orientation online.

4. Counseling

Our academic counselors are here to help you select the right classes for the current term, plan for future semesters, and assist you with the transfer process.
In preparation for your counseling appointment, ensure you’ve researched and identified your academic pathway.

5. Register For Classes

Now It’s time for you to register for your classes and get the required course materials! Click on the links below to register for classes and discover what textbooks are required for your courses.

You can buy your books and materials online at the bookstore.

Wait list Rules

Students must meet prerequisite prior to being added to waitlist
Students are not permitted to enroll and waitlist for multiple sections of the same course
Students are not allowed to waitlist if a course conflict exists
Students once off the waitlist will have 48 hours to register for classes, before losing their spot.
Students on a waitlist can also stop by and ask the professor if their is space in the class.

Drop for Non Payment

Students are responsible for paying their bills prior to the start of the term.
The District has implemented a Drop for Non-Payment policy, where students with a balance of $100 or more, will be dropped from future registered classes and a hold will be placed on their accounts.
Students will not be dropped if they are part of an exempt group or have setup a payment plan.
A list of Drop for Non Payment dates is on our Event Calendar under Financial Aid.

We don't want students to be burdened by finances, so we have developed options for them, including Payment Plans, Financial Aid and Scholarships. We encourage students to look into these options prior to the start of the term.
