Jilian Gómez Ayón

Counselor Jilian Gomez was born in San Francisco, raised on the Peninsula, and has been with EVC since 2025! [Put me on some good food spots you like].
 
Some of her interests are cooking [I made mole de pollo to perfection this past summer], attending shows [concerts, comedy, movies], sporting events [tell me your teams!], and loves and adores pets [I had my dog for 17 years!]. Jilian also enjoys collecting and listening to some vinyls [currently looking for the new Larry June one].
 
Jilian is a proud first-generation educator/professional [who hella struggled in college] with over a decade of experience serving both K–12 and higher education. Jilian earned my B.A. in Communication Disorders (with a minor in Special Education) from San Francisco State  and an M.A. in Counseling Guidance (LPCC eligible) from San José State University, where Jilian also published a on thesis, Amplifying Testimonios of Latino Male Student Success.
 
From Jilian: “Above all, my passion is supporting and uplifting students. When we meet, I’m here to guide you through challenges, but also to celebrate your wins -whether it’s passing a test, making positive changes for your growth, or reaching a personal milestone. Whatever it is, I am here to help!”
