- Occupational (This area includes all majors: Business, Legal Assistant, AJ, Accounting, CADD, BIS, Automotive, Engineering, CIT).
- PARALLEL PLAN: The parallel plan allows students to attend college classes and receive additional units for on the job training. This experience must relate to a student’s educational and/or occupational goals. Only one 136 course can be taken for a maximum of 4 units of credit in any one semester. The Parallel Plan may be repeated until a maximum of 16 units have been earned, which could include 6 units of general experience.
- ALTERNATE PLAN: The alternate plan is open to student in both occupational, educational or general and transfer majors. If a student, has or attains a permanent job, she/he does not necessarily quit the job at the end of the semester. However, she/he cannot earn Cooperative Education Work Experience credit of any kind during the next semester after completing Alternate Cooperative Education Work Experience. Check the availability of this option with the Cooperative Education Coordinator.
- General Work Experience WE-88
The general studies Work Experience is offered to general and transfer students. If the student has not yet selected a major but is employed and taking general education transfer courses, she/he may enroll in General Work Experience. This area can only be repeated for a total of six units. However, no more than 3 units may be taken in any one semester.
