  • b. Religious belief
  • c. Quality of life.

  • A . The history behind the stem cells research:
  • 1.   Human Embryonic stem cell (hESC)
  •     a. hESC is able to develop into different cells & exists in embryos.
  •      b.Harvesting stem cells destroys embryos.
  •      c. Potential to cure fatal diseases.
  • 2.  Funding Organizations
  •    a. 2001- President Bush approved to fund for stem cell research.
  •     b.  NIH funding.

Should human embryonic stem cells research be continued?
    • Negative consequences
      • Remove right to life of embryos.
      • Destroy embryos which might have potential to life.
      • Spend huge budgets on research.
    • Positive consequences
      • A cure might be found to fight against fatal diseases.
      • Millions of patients don’t have to die.
      • Medical treatment advances to another step.
      • People will be healthier and happier.

Conclusion

  • Human embryonic stem cell research should be continued because scientists believe that it is the most ethical of the various possible actions:
    • Potential of saving millions of human lives
    • Better lives for others
    • Advance public health
    • No more fears about diseases
