The internet has opened up various ways for promoting pow-wows for all tribes.

  • Everyone wants to show their best.

  • Look at the beautifully colors for all to see.
2
The internet has given new ways for Native American People and Native networks to communicate.

  • We use all what's given to us.

  • We have learned and adapted to society.
3

The internet has altered the pow-wow development by reconstructing it to be more precise with explanation of the history of how Natives view pow-wows.

  • For the most part, Natives can always use the internet to find a pow wow, by using the link www.powwows.com

Internet flyers and or calendars of pow-wows allow Natives to reach huge amounts of other Natives because it makes the access of finding a pow-wow easier to find.
  • Here is one flyer I was apart of producing. It is the first rough draft. If you double click on it you will be able to see full size.
  • The flyer contains all the event’s information; where, when and the times. Most flyers have a link to click and obtain directions. For example http://www.mapquest.com.

Pow-wows are social gatherings for all tribes to get together and have a designated area and time to do so. Old, Young, and New are invited.
  • It is important in the social environment to still learn and teach customs and religion to all (old, young, and new).  This is said all throughout the research of:

  • Browner, Tara Heartbeat of the People: Music and Dance of the Northern Pow-wow. University of Illinois Press, 2004.
